What's New:
Glandorf Elementary JEDI/Early Act Club members recently participated in an international service project. JEDI/Early Act is a club open to seventh and eighth grade students and affiliated with Ottawa-Glandorf Rotary Club. This spring the students participated in a series of meetings to learn about Rotary and hear from Mark and Pam Macke, Pandora, who are active volunteers with the group Mission Possible based in Findlay. The students then hosted “Shorts For Haiti” for their entire school.
Students who donated $1 to the fundraiser could wear shorts to school two weeks earlier than normal. The project raised $469. The JEDI/Early Act members presented the check to Mission Possible during the June 2nd OG Rotary Club meeting.
Pictured are (sitting, l-r) Matt Warnecke, Bryant Diemer, Logan Meyer and Drew Schierloh; and (standing, l-r) OG Rotary president Tony Hovest, Amy Schmiedebusch, Derek Ebbeskotte, Mission Possible volunteer Pam Macke, and JEDI/Early Act advisor Renee Miller. Mission Possible will use the funds to provide hot meals to school children in Haiti. Rotarians Mary Jo Williams and Darla Lammers chaired this project.

Welcome to the Official Website of
the Ottawa Glandorf Rotary Club

Statement of 2010-2011 President Joe Laudick:
The Ottawa-Glandorf Rotary Club is made up of approximately 45-55 members who, when combined with over 32,000 Rotary Clubs in over 200 countries comprising 1.2 million members worldwide, help form a global network of business and professional leaders that volunteer their time and talents to serve their communities and the world. Rotary's motto, Service Above Self, exemplifies the humanitarian spirit of the organization's members. Strong fellowship among Rotarians and meaningful community and international service projects characterize Rotary worldwide.
The Ottawa-Glandorf club is active in annual projects such as a local College Scholarship program (called OG Rotary STRIVE), an annual county-wide Literacy project for 3rd graders, enhancement of the Ottawa Memorial Park, community service award and assistance with several international humanitarian projects.
If you would like to know more about our club we would be happy to have you join us at one of our weekly meetings on noon Wednesdays at Henry's Restaurant in Ottawa. Please browse through the pages of our website and it would be a pleasure to hear from you anytime.
Yours in Rotary,
