The Ottawa-Glandorf Rotary Club is proud to be able to annually offer to senior students of Ottawa-Glandorf High School the opportunity to compete for scholarship money totalling $5,000 in the S.T.R.I.V.E. Scholarship program.  Each year, six finalists are selected and two are awarded $1,500 scholarships and four are awarded $500 scholarships.  S.T.R.I.V.E. stands for Students Taking Renewed Interested in the Value of Education.  Participating students are those seniors who are both planning on furthering their education beyond high school (university, college, associate degree or trade school) yet who would not, due to GPA, be eligible for any academic scholarship.  Seniors are challenged over the course of their final year in high school to improve in three areas: GPA, Absentee Reduction, and Active Participation in the Classroom Environment.  The six finalists are selected, given an essay questionaire to complete and finally are involved in a formal interview process to determine the level of award.
